India Lane Cottage is in Montrose, down a quiet lane off the high street. It's a first-floor apartment, so you go up a flight of external stairs to get in. The living room, kitchen, and dining area are all together on that floor. Then there's another staircase inside that goes up to the two bedrooms and the bathroom.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one double and one twin. One bathroom with a shower. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The inside stairs to the bedrooms are a bit steep, like a ship's ladder. Fine for most, but something to know.
You can walk to the town centre and the beach. The beach is sandy and very long. Montrose Basin is right there too, which is an RSPB reserve. You see a lot of birds from the flat if you look out the right window.
The golf is a big thing here. The Royal Montrose courses are about a ten minute walk away. They're some of the oldest in the world. There are tennis courts nearby as well.
In the town, you've got the usual shops and a few places to eat. There's a leisure centre with a pool. The Montrose Air Station Heritage Centre is worth a visit if you like that sort of thing. It was Britain's first military airfield.
For days out, you can drive into the Angus Glens for walking. Arbroath is about 15 minutes south. Dundee is roughly half an hour. Aberdeen is about an hour north.
What's here: WiFi, TV, a washing machine, a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. The electricity is in the price. Sorry, no pets.
