Howe Cottage is a semi-detached cottage in Laurencekirk. It's on a quiet street. It sleeps four people in two bedrooms. The bathroom is downstairs.
The bedrooms are two doubles, but one can be set up as a twin if you ask ahead. The French doors in the living room open out to a small, enclosed patio garden. It's a nice spot if the sun's out.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well looked after and things work. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. The whole place is on one level, so there are no stairs.
You can walk to a shop, a couple of places to eat, and a pub in about five minutes. They're fine. For a proper beach, you need to drive. Montrose beach is about seven miles. St Cyrus National Nature Reserve is a bit further and is very dramatic.
You're in a good spot for getting about. Stonehaven is about twenty minutes drive. They've got Dunnottar Castle and an outdoor pool. Aberdeen is under half an hour if you need a city or the airport. The Cairn o' Mount road gives you great views over to the coast.
If you're planning days out, these sites are useful: National Trust for Scotland Aberdeenshire and NatureScot St Cyrus.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking for one car on the drive.
