Orchard Chalet is in Luthermuir, near Edzell in Aberdeenshire. It's a detached chalet. It's just for two people.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's small and modern, rather than an old cottage. Everything's on one level which makes it easy. The garden's enclosed and it backs onto fields. There's a wood burner, which is great when it's cold. It's very quiet here.
You walk through a little apple orchard to get to it, which is nice. There's parking right outside.
Edzell village is a few minutes away by car. There's a shop, a couple of places to eat, and a golf course. Laurencekirk is about five miles for a bigger supermarket.
You're well placed for the coast and the glens. The beaches at St Cyrus and Lunan Bay are really good. They're about a twenty minute drive. You can walk for miles.
The Angus Glens start just to the west. Good for walking and cycling. You might see deer or eagles. Angus Alive has some information on them.
If you want a day out, Montrose or Brechin aren't far. Arbroath Abbey is about forty minutes away. The Historic Environment Scotland site has details for places like that.
Facilities: there's WiFi, the bedding and towels are included, and there's a shower. There's space to store bikes if you bring them. No pets.
