The Butchers Cottage Edzell

The Butchers Cottage is in Edzell. It's detached. It's behind the butcher's shop on the High Street, so you're right in the middle of the village. There's a small private courtyard out the back.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's in good order. We had it all redone a few years ago. Everything works.

You can walk to everything in the village. There's a shop, a couple of places to eat, and the golf course is just over the road. The golf is parkland, it's quite pretty.

If you want to head out, Glamis Castle is about twenty minutes by car. The Angus Glens are maybe half an hour's drive for walking - Glen Esk is a good place to start. For the beach, Lunan Bay or St Cyrus are about twenty-five minutes. Montrose is a bit closer.

You can drive up through Fettercairn and over the Cairn o' Mount to Deeside if you fancy a trip. It's a proper road trip, takes about an hour and a half to Balmoral.

Facilities: it's all on the ground floor. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring two dogs. There's space to store bikes.
