Nether Carness is a bungalow in North Ballachulish. It's detached, so you won't share any walls. It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. You get two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's well kitted out and comfortable.
The layout is all on one floor, which is handy. The main living area is open plan, with French doors leading out. There's a sunroom at the back with patio doors that open into the garden. The garden's enclosed. The view from there is just fields and hills, no other houses in the way.
You're about a ten minute drive from Glencoe. The mountain scenery there is serious. Fort William is about twenty minutes north. They call it the outdoor capital. Ben Nevis is there if you're up for it. The Glencoe Tourism site has walking advice.
In winter, you can ski at Glencoe or Nevis Range. In summer, it's all about walking or mountain biking. The Jacobite steam train goes from Fort William over the Glenfinnan Viaduct. You'll know it from Harry Potter. Book it well ahead, or just go and watch it pass.
Oban is less than an hour south if you fancy a boat trip. You can get to Mull from there. Skye is a drive, but you could do it in a day if you start early.
For facilities, it's got what you'd need. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Woodburning stove. There's parking right there. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog. We've got a cot and highchair if you need them. The entrance has no steps.
