Oakwood Cottage

Oakwood Cottage is in Glencoe village, right in the middle of things. It's a detached cottage, so no one attached. You get a private garden with a deck and a view of the Pap of Glencoe and the Aonach Eagach ridge.

It sleeps six, maybe seven if you use the extra pull-out bed. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up, but it's an old crofter's cottage, so the walls are thick and some of the doors are a bit low.

There's a wood burner for the evenings, and oil central heating. The living area is open-plan, so it's good for everyone being together. The kitchen doors lead onto the deck.

The village has a small shop, a cafe, a pub, and a fuel station. Ballachulish is about a mile away. They've got a small supermarket and a doctor's surgery if you need it.

You're right in the mountains here. For walking, the Walkhighlands Glencoe page is useful. The National Trust for Scotland Glencoe visitor centre is nearby for the history. You can drive to Fort William or Oban in under an hour.

Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and parking on site. We provide bedding and towels. There's a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. No pets, sorry.
