Carness West

Carness West is a detached house in North Ballachulish. It's on the side of a hill, fairly secluded, looking straight out towards the Pap of Glencoe and the mountains across Loch Leven.

It sleeps five. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. That mostly means it's well kept and comfortable. The whole upstairs living area faces the view. There are big windows and doors that go out to two balconies. That's the point of the place.

It's got a woodburning stove, parking, a washing machine, dishwasher. The garden is enclosed. Bedding and towels are included, and there's a cot and highchair if you need them.

The nearest pub is about a mile away. The closest shop is in Glencoe village, about three miles.

You're right in the middle of it all here for walking or climbing. The West Highland Way goes past not far away. Glencoe and Glen Nevis are right on your doorstep. You can be at the foot of Ben Nevis in about twenty minutes by car. There's kayaking and fishing on the loch. In winter, you're about half an hour from the Glencoe Mountain ski resort.

Ballachulish has a visitor centre and some craft shops. Fort William is a fifteen minute drive for bigger supermarkets and the railway station.
