Bidean Cottage

This is Bidean Cottage. It's in Glencoe, up a farm track about a mile from the main road. You're right in the mountains here. The views from the windows are all of the hills, including the Aonach Eagach ridge. It's very quiet.

The cottage sleeps six in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. You can bring up to two dogs.

The track up here is hard surface, so it's fine for normal cars. You share a deer-fenced area with one other holiday cottage and the owner's farmhouse, so your garden is enclosed and private. It's dark at night, with no streetlights, so you can see the stars clearly.

From the door you can walk straight up the glen next to the burn. You don't have to be a serious walker to enjoy it. For something bigger, you can walk to Meall Lighiche or Sgor na h-Ulaidh from here.

Glencoe village is about three miles away for a shop, café, and pub. Ballachulish is a bit further for a small supermarket. Fort William is about half an hour's drive for more shops. Oban is under an hour if you want to catch a ferry to the islands.

The Glencoe Mountain Resort is twenty minutes away for skiing or mountain biking. For local history and walking, the National Trust for Scotland Glencoe site is useful.

It has what you'd need: parking, a washing machine, dishwasher, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. You can use a BBQ.

This cottage can be booked with the one next door if you're a larger group.
