Barn Cottage
Barn Cottage is on Bodmin Moor in Cornwall. It’s one of three cottages on a small farmstead called West Bowithick. You’re right out in the open, with views across the moor.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms: one double, one with twin beds, and one with bunk beds. There’s one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s comfortable and well-equipped, not luxurious. The stairs are normal, but there are some low beams inside to watch out for.
Outside, there's a patio area with a picnic bench for your cottage. There's a big shared lawn with a kids' play area. The driveway into the farmstead is a bit narrow, so take it slow when you arrive.
The location is quiet and rural. You can walk straight out onto the moor. National Trust Bodmin Moor has good walking information. Brown Willy and Rough Tor are the high points nearby. A car is essential.
The north coast is about a 20 minute drive. Places like Trebarwith Strand or Bude are good for a beach day. You’re about 30 minutes from places like Tintagel or the Camel Estuary for cycling. Cornwall Council outdoors site has details on trails and beaches.
In terms of facilities: it has parking, WiFi, a TV, and bedding is included. There’s a washing machine. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a cot if you need it.
