The Old Stables 1
The Old Stables 1 is in Shipton under Wychwood. It's a one bedroom place, sleeps two. We converted it from an old stable block in 2024, so it's all new inside but kept the brickwork and beams. It's got a 5 Star rating.
You come into the living room with the kitchen off it. The bedroom is down a few steps from there. It's a kingsize bed. The bathroom is on that lower level too.
Outside is a south-facing courtyard garden. It's enclosed and gets the sun. There's parking right there and an electric vehicle charger.
The village has a shop and a couple of pubs you can walk to. The pub up the road does food.
You're right in the middle of the Cotswolds here. Burford is about ten minutes drive. Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold are maybe twenty minutes. For a big day out, Blenheim Palace is half an hour away. Bicester Village is about the same if you want shopping.
It's good for walking straight from the door. You can be on the Wychwood way or just out in the fields. It's a working farm next door, so you'll see sheep.
Inside, there's a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We take up to two dogs.
