Kanna
Kanna is a treehouse near Finstock. It's built for two people.
The main thing is the structure. It's modern and quite clean-lined from the outside, like a little capsule in the trees. Inside, it's open plan and full of light because of the big windows and glass doors. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings.
You should know it's a proper treehouse, so you're up a flight of external stairs to get in. It's private and feels like you're tucked back in the woods.
Everything is included: bedding, towels, and the electricity. There's Wi-Fi and parking right there. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-finished and comfortable.
Finstock itself is a small village. There's a shop and a pub a short walk away. For a bigger day out, Oxford is about a twenty-minute drive. You can walk from the city centre out to Port Meadow and along the Thames path. The Oxford Botanic Garden is worth a visit if you like that sort of thing.
If you want to explore further, Blenheim Palace at Woodstock is very close. The Cotswolds area starts just to the west, so there are plenty of villages and walks within half an hour.
No pets allowed, I'm afraid. It's one of a few unique places on the same retreat.
