The Farm House is just outside Shipton under Wychwood. It's an actual farmhouse on a working farm, so there are sheep in the field next door. It feels properly rural.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after.
The kitchen is big, with a proper table for everyone. There's a wood burner in the living room. Downstairs there's a games room with a pool table. The garden is split-level, with views over the fields.
Shipton village has a shop and a couple of pubs. It's a five minute drive. The closest one, The Shaven Crown, is good.
You're right in the middle of the Cotswolds here. Burford and Stow-on-the-Wold are about twenty minutes away. Bourton-on-the-Water and Chipping Norton are about the same. They're all nice for a wander and a coffee.
If you want to go further, Cheltenham is about forty minutes. Oxford is maybe forty five. The Cotswolds National Landscape site has good walking maps. For historic places, English Heritage and the National Trust have loads nearby, like Blenheim.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi and an electric vehicle charger. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is on site. You can bring up to two dogs.
