The Stalls
The Stalls is just outside Burford. It’s one of a few converted barns sat together in the middle of some farmland and trees. It's a detached house.
It sleeps ten people, which is a lot. There are five bedrooms. Four of them have their own bathroom, which really helps with a big group. The stairs aren't a problem, it's all on two easy levels.
The main living room is big and has a wood burner. The kitchen is also large and opens out through doors onto the patio and garden. There's a pizza oven and a barbecue out there. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you have kids.
It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well equipped and finished to a high standard. You'll find a washing machine, dishwasher, all the bedding and towels are included, and there's plenty of parking.
Burford is about a mile away. It's a nice little town with shops, cafes, and a few pubs. The Burford Garden Centre is worth a look. For a day out with the family, the Cotswold Wildlife Park is very close and very good.
You can walk straight out from the house into the countryside. For something organised, the National Trust has some good places nearby. Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold, and places like that are all within half an hour's drive.
Oxford is about 20 miles away if you fancy a city trip. No pets, I'm afraid.
