Daisy's Rest Shipton under Wychwood

Daisy's Rest is a new shepherd's hut on our farm here in Shipton under Wychwood. It sleeps two, one bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well finished.

It's completely on its own, so you've got privacy. The hut looks out over our fields towards the Cotswold hills. There are sheep in the next field, sometimes the farm dogs will wander past. You're surrounded by working farmland.

Inside, it's all new. There's a woodburning stove for chilly evenings, and a proper shower. The bed is made up for you. Outside there's a patio area with a table and chairs, fully enclosed. You can park right next to it.

We allow one well-behaved dog. Please keep it on a lead around the livestock.

Shipton village is about a ten minute walk. There's a shop, a couple of pubs that do food, and a cricket green. For broader walks, the Cotswolds National Landscape site has good information. The National Trust looks after a few local properties too.

If you want to explore, Burford and Stow-on-the-Wold are about a fifteen minute drive. Bourton-on-the-Water is maybe twenty minutes. They're all the classic Cotswold villages with tearooms and shops. Chipping Norton and Moreton-in-Marsh are similar distance.

Further out, Cheltenham is about forty minutes for the races or shopping. Oxford is around half an hour's drive, but parking can be difficult. Blenheim Palace is near Woodstock, about thirty five minutes away.
