Daisy's Rest is a shepherd's hut on our small farm in Shipton under Wychwood. It's new, sleeps two, and has a 4 Star rating.
It's detached and sits in its own enclosed area with a patio. You look out over our fields. We've got sheep, cattle, and pigs nearby, so you'll hear the usual farm noises. Inside, it's one room with a kitchen area and a woodburning stove. The bed is at one end. There's a separate shower room. It's warm and has everything you need, but it is a hut, so the space is cleverly compact.
You're on a working farm, so there will be mud sometimes and activity during the day. The wi-fi is fine for browsing. There's parking right outside.
You can bring one dog. We ask that you keep it on a lead around the livestock.
For getting out, you're right in the Cotswolds. Burford, Stow-on-the-Wold, and Bourton-on-the-Water are about twenty minutes drive. They're nice for a wander and a coffee. Kingham is close and has good pubs. The Cotswolds National Landscape site has walking routes. For a longer day out, Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon, or Blenheim Palace are within an hour.
Facilities are what you'd expect: bedding and towels are included, there's the wood burner, the shower, and the patio. It's a quiet spot for a couple.
