The Barn is in Shipton under Wychwood. It's a proper barn conversion, so it's detached. You've got a field with horses and sheep right next door, which is nice.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms. One's on the ground floor, and the other's up on a mezzanine level, which you get to from stairs in the living room. There's one bathroom, also on the ground floor.
The main living space is all open plan with high ceilings. It feels big. There's a wood burner that heats the place up well. The kitchen's part of that room, and there's a dishwasher and washing machine. Some of the cupboards and appliances are tucked away under the stairs.
Outside, there's a gravel area at the front with seating and a BBQ. Around the back, through a door from the living area, there's a patio.
The village is quiet. There are a couple of pubs you can walk to. The Oxfordshire Way walking route goes through the place if you want to start a ramble from the door.
You're well placed for the Cotswolds. Burford, Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water are all about 20 minutes away by car. Kingham station is five miles for trains. For a bigger day out, Oxford is maybe 40 minutes, and you can get to Cheltenham or Stratford-upon-Avon in under an hour.
It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. Everything like bedding and towels is included. There's a cot if you need one. The parking is right there. The entrance and ground floor are level, so it's accessible for wheelchairs, but do check with us about specific needs as the mezzanine bedroom is upstairs.
