The Barn

The Barn is in Shipton under Wychwood. It's a detached barn conversion off the main road. The garden is gravel at the front with seating. The view from there is over fields. There are sheep and some chickens next door.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. One bedroom and the bathroom are on the ground floor. The other bedroom is up on a mezzanine, which you get to via some open-tread stairs. Those stairs are quite steep. The main living space has a double-height ceiling, so it feels big. There's a wood burner and doors out to a patio.

The kitchen is well equipped. Some of the appliances are tucked away in cupboards under the stairs. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and in good order.

You're right on the edge of the village. There's a pub within walking distance. The Oxfordshire Way footpath runs through the village if you want a walk from the door.

For days out, Burford, Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water and Chipping Norton are all about twenty minutes' drive away. They're the proper Cotswold stone villages. Kingham is ten minutes away and has a train station.

Further out, you've got Cheltenham for the races, Oxford for the city, and Blenheim Palace. All within about forty-five minutes.

Facilities: there's parking, a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a cot if needed. Bedding and towels are included. The entrance and one bedroom are on the ground floor. It's not fully wheelchair accessible inside because of the stairs and layout, but the entrance itself is level.
