Balderstones Barn
Balderstones Barn is near Clapham, in North Yorkshire. It’s a converted barn for three people. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It’s got a five star rating, so everything is in good order.
The downstairs is open plan. Lounge, dining area, kitchen all in one space. There’s underfloor heating. The kitchen is up one step from the living area. The stairs to the first floor are standard, but the stairs up to the second bedroom are a bit steeper, more like a ship’s ladder. That room is a mezzanine with a single bed and a pull-out trundle.
The garden is walled and enclosed, so it’s secure. It faces southwest, so you get the sun in the afternoon. You can see the Forest of Bowland from there.
You’re on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Ingleborough is right there. It’s about a mile and a half to the nearest pub for food. The village of Clapham is a mile away, it has a shop and a cafe.
For walks, you can get straight onto the Ingleborough Estate Nature Trail from nearby. It leads to Ingleborough Cave. The National Trust has a lot of land locally. Ingleton Waterfalls are about a twenty minute drive. Kirkby Lonsdale, which is a nice market town, is about twenty five minutes away.
In terms of stuff: there’s parking, a washing machine, bike storage, WiFi, and a cot and highchair if needed. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
