St Margaret's Church is in High Bentham. As you'd guess, it's a converted church. It sleeps eight people, has four bedrooms and four bathrooms.
It's a 5 Star place, so it's done to a high standard. The conversion kept a lot of the original features, like stained glass and plaques. The layout is open plan downstairs, with a kitchen and two sitting areas. Upstairs is unusual, with glass walls looking down into the main space. Two bedrooms have en-suites, the other two share a family bathroom.
It's just off the high street in the village. You can walk to the local shops and pubs. There are good walks right from the door.
For more serious hiking, Ingleton is three miles away. That's the gateway for the Three Peaks: Whernside, Pen-y-Ghent, and Ingleborough. If you want to go caving or cycling, that's all nearby too. Kirkby Lonsdale, a market town, is about ten miles away.
You're well placed for the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Forest of Bowland. Southern Lakeland is also within reach for a day out.
Facilities include a dishwasher, washing machine, TV and WiFi. Bedding and towels are provided. There's parking. You can bring up to two dogs.
