St Margaret's Church

This is St Margaret's Church in High Bentham. It used to be a working church, and it's a holiday home now. It sleeps eight people.

You walk in and it's all one big open space on the ground floor. The kitchen's modern and there are two seating areas, plus a shower room. They've kept a lot of the original bits, like the stained glass and the plaques. It feels quite special.

Upstairs is unusual. The bedrooms are built around a central glass wall so you can see right down into the main space. There are four bedrooms and four bathrooms. Two are ensuite kingsize rooms, and the other two doubles share a family bathroom.

It's a 5 Star place, so it's finished to a high standard. Everything's included, like bedding and towels. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine, WiFi, and parking on site.

You're right on the edge of the village, so it's a short walk to the shops and a couple of pubs in Bentham. You can start some good walks from the door.

Ingleton is only three miles away. That's where a lot of people go for walking, especially for the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail and access to the Three Peaks. If you're into caving or cycling, it's a good spot for that too.

Kirkby Lonsdale is about ten miles. It's a nice market town with old buildings and independent shops. It's worth a visit.

You're well placed here for the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Forest of Bowland. Southern Cumbria and the Lake District aren't far either, maybe a 30 to 40 minute drive depending on where you're headed.

You can bring up to two dogs. The garden isn't completely enclosed, just so you know.
