Gallaber Cottage
This is Gallaber Cottage. It's on our farm in Burton in Lonsdale. The barn conversion is attached to our house, but you've got your own entrance and it's all private. It's high up, so the main thing is the view. You look out over the fields towards Ingleborough. On a really clear day, you can see the Lake District hills in the distance. The sunsets can be good.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable. It's all open plan downstairs. The WiFi works fine. There's a TV, a washing machine, and parking right outside.
The garden is enclosed, so it's safe for a dog. We do allow one well-behaved pet. It's a working farm, so you'll see sheep and maybe hear the tractor. If you're walking a dog, you need to keep it on a lead around the livestock.
Burton village is about a mile away. It's small. For more shops and pubs, you drive to Ingleton. That's about three miles. They've got cafes, a few restaurants, and the famous Ingleton Waterfalls Trail.
You're right on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales here. It's good walking country straight from the door. The Yorkshire Dales National Park is on your doorstep. You can be in the Lake District in under an hour, or over the border into Lancashire quite quickly.
Bedding and towels are included. The heating is electric.
