Hillside House is in Kirkby Lonsdale. It's an old town house, so it's tall and narrow. Sleeps eight, over four floors. There are two bathrooms, one with a bath and electric shower, the other is just a shower room.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well looked after and comfortable. The furniture is a mix, some of it is antique. There's a grandfather clock in the dining room. The stairs are typical for a house like this: they go up a fair way and they're a bit steep in parts.
You can bring two dogs. The garden is enclosed but it's not huge. There's on-site parking for one car, maybe two if they're small.
The town centre is a couple of minutes' walk. There's a good pub about 200 yards away that does food. Plenty of other cafes and shops. The Yorkshire Dales National Park starts right at the edge of town.
You're well placed for a day out. Ingleton and its waterfall walk are about 20 minutes by car. The Lake District National Park is half an hour north. Morecambe Bay and Lancaster are about the same to the south.
Facilities: it's got the basics. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV with satellite. Bedding and towels are included. We can put up a cot and a highchair if you need them. There's also a stairgate at the bottom.
