This is Darcy House. It's in Kirkby Lonsdale, which is a small market town in Cumbria, right on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales.
It's a Georgian house, double-fronted, and it's Grade II listed. It was built around 1640, so it's old. You'll see the beams and the shutters. There's even some original Victorian wallpaper in the hallway. The stairs are typical for a house this age, so they're not what you'd call gentle.
It sleeps five people. There are three bedrooms and, usefully, three bathrooms. It has a 4 Star rating. It's been done up to a high standard. It's comfortable and the things in it are nice, but it's still an old house.
You're in the middle of the town. The shops, cafes, and pubs are all a minute's walk away. There's a small enclosed garden at the back if you want some outside space.
For getting out, you're well placed. The Yorkshire Dales are on your doorstep. The Lake District National Park is about a 20-minute drive. The Trough of Bowland is in the other direction, maybe 25 minutes. So you can easily see a lot without a huge amount of driving.
Inside, you've got what you'd need: a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, and all the bedding and towels are there. Sorry, but we don't take pets.
