Treadle Cottage
Treadle Cottage is in Kirkby Lonsdale. It’s on one of the main streets, so you’re right in the middle of the town. It’s a terrace cottage.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom downstairs. It’s a 4 Star place. It’s comfortable and everything works. There’s a wood burner in the living room. The kitchen is part of that same room.
Outside, there’s a small sun terrace out the back, up some steps. You get a view over the rooftops to the fields. It’s a nice spot to sit.
The town is good. Plenty of shops, a few proper butchers and bakers. There are several pubs that do food, and some restaurants. Everything you need is a two-minute walk.
The cottage backs onto a ginnel, so you can walk straight out onto the footpaths along the River Lune. Yorkshire Dales National Park starts pretty much there. For a good walk with waterfalls, the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail is about ten minutes drive.
The Lake District National Park is about a twenty-five minute drive. Kendal is fifteen minutes away if you need a bigger supermarket.
Facilities: It has WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and bedding and towels are included. The entrance is level, so it’s accessible if you use a wheelchair. We take up to two dogs.
