Cowdber Barn
Cowdber Barn is near Overtown in Lancashire. It's a converted barn, detached, on a farm. You get your own bit of garden too.
It sleeps ten, in four bedrooms. There are three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and comfortable. The place is big and open, they kept a lot of the barn feel when they converted it.
You have to drive about three quarters of a mile up the farm track to get to it. It's properly in the countryside. You'll see sheep and cows in the fields around. It's quiet.
You can walk straight from the door into the fields and onto the fells. Ingleborough is right there on the skyline. The local pub is about a mile away. The town for shops is Kirkby Lonsdale, about four miles.
For a day out, the Yorkshire Dales National Park is right on the doorstep. Ingleton waterfalls are close, and White Scar Caves are nearby if you want to go underground. The Lake District National Park is less than an hour's drive for bigger mountains and lakes. Morecambe beach is about sixteen miles if you fancy the seaside.
Inside, there's a woodburning stove, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and WiFi. There's a games room with a pool table. Bedding is included. You can bring one dog. There's parking right outside.
