Spice Mill Cottage Kirkby Lonsdale

Spice Mill Cottage is on a little side lane just off the main square in Kirkby Lonsdale. It's a townhouse, so it's on three floors. The stairs are normal house stairs, not the old cottage kind.

It sleeps five across three bedrooms. You've got two good-sized double rooms, both with their own bathrooms, up on the top floor. Then there's a single bedroom on the middle floor, just off the living room. The kitchen's on the ground floor and it's new, with a table big enough for everyone. Patio doors lead out to a courtyard. You get two parking spaces, one right outside and another in the courtyard, which is handy for Kirkby.

The cottage has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped. There's a Smart TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome.

The town is right there. The shop, pubs, and restaurants are a two-minute walk. The Thursday market is on the square. For a nice walk, you go down to the river. Devil's Bridge and the path along to Ruskin's View is about five minutes from the door. People do swim there in the summer.

Location-wise, it's good for seeing different things. You can be in the southern Lake District in about twenty minutes, around Windermere. Ingleton, with its waterfalls and caves, is about fifteen minutes drive east into the Yorkshire Dales. If you head south, you can be in Lancaster or at the coast in Morecambe Bay in half an hour.
