Howgills Barn is just off the road in Middleton, Cumbria. It's detached, but next to our house. The garden is yours to use.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. Both have super king beds and their own bathrooms. One has a roll-top bath and a big walk-in shower.
It's got a 5 Star rating, which basically means it's been finished to a high standard. Everything is new and clean. There's underfloor heating and a wood burner. The kitchen is well equipped. You get WiFi and TVs. Bedding and towels are included.
The stairs are a spiral staircase. They're fine, but worth mentioning.
Barbon village is two miles away. They have a good village shop and cafe. Kirkby Lonsdale is a bit further, maybe three miles. That's where you'll find most of the pubs, restaurants, and shops. Devil's Bridge and Ruskin's View are there for a walk.
You're right between the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. Sedbergh and the Howgill Fells are a few minutes north. Kendal is about a twenty minute drive. The M6 is ten minutes away, which makes getting around easy.
Facilities: there's parking, a washing machine, a BBQ, and we can provide a cot and highchair. No pets, sorry.
If you're planning walks or days out, these are the main sites: Lake District National Park, Yorkshire Dales National Park, and English Heritage for local sites like Brough Castle.
