Chingford House

Chingford House has its own driveway and an enclosed garden at the front, with a barbecue and sun-loungers on the evergreen artificial lawn, as well as outdoor furniture for meals out in the sun. Stepping inside you have a large kitchen with a breakfast bar, where you can create homecooked meals for everyone to share. The living room is open plan with the dining area, and it’s a spacious social space with leather sofas to unwind on. The ground floor has a double bedroom as well as a separate toilet for added convenience. Up on the first floor there are another five bedrooms, including two with en-suite facilities. There is also a family bathroom with shower cubicle as well as a bath. There is an adjoining garage which has a tumble dryer, this is the perfect lockable storage space for bikes and motorbikes, as well as outdoor sporting equipment such as kayaks or surfboards.
You have all the convenience of local shops, takeaways and family-friendly pubs within a 10-minute walk away. You can also walk to the very heart of Stockton-on-Tees, around a 30-minute walk away, with an array of bars, cafés and pubs, as well as the Globe Theatre and a casino. From Chingford House you have the coastline less than 30 minutes’ away. Spend a day at the National Museum of the Royal Navy Hartlepool in the docks, complete with a tall ship. For keen golfers you have the golf course at Seaton Carew or Middlesbrough. Tees Barrage is perfect for those with a sense of adventure, with an array of water sports including white water rafting.
Younger family members are sure to love Butterfly World at Preston Park, which also has a great outside play area as well as the Captain Cook Birthplace Museum. Or perhaps visit Jump 360, the trampoline park, or a nearby indoor play area. For a day out soaking up the scenery, venture to the coast where you have Seaton Carew, Saltburn-by-the-Sea and Redcar, all within a 30-minute drive. Saltburn is a surfers paradise, where you can join the surf school or hire body boards and paddleboards, and there is also an iconic Victorian pier. Redcar has a huge golden sandy beach, as well as arcades and traditional fish and chip restaurants.
