Poppy Cottage is in Dunvant, just on the edge of Swansea. It's part of a small terrace of cottages on a working farm called Duffryn Farm. It's quiet here. You can hear the sheep.
The cottage sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 star rating. It's comfortable and clean. It's on three floors. The ground floor is open plan, with the living area at the front and the kitchen at the back. The top floor is an attic bedroom with twin beds. The stairs are okay, but they are cottage stairs, so watch your head on the way up to the attic.
You've got your own patio with garden furniture out the back. There's a shared lawn out front with picnic tables. There's also a shared games room and a laundry. They have a freezer with a shelf for each cottage.
The farm is at the bottom of a valley. We have WiFi, but because of the location, the signal can be patchy. Don't rely on it for streaming films.
You can bring one dog. There's a stairgate, a highchair, and parking right outside.
For a pint, the local pub is about a ten minute walk. It does food. The coast is about four miles away. The Gower Peninsula starts there. Oxwich Bay and Caswell Bay are good for families. Rhossili Bay is stunning. It's about a 25 minute drive.
Swansea city centre is about fifteen minutes by car. The Mumbles is nice for a wander, with the pier and Oystermouth Castle. If you want to go walking, you can start from the farm gate. For days out further afield, the National Trust in Wales has lots of properties and coast. The Gower Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty site has maps and ideas.
If you're coming with a bigger group, you can book the cottage next door, Lily Cottage, as well.
