Ty Llaethdy

This is my place, Ty Llaethdy. It's on its own in Gowerton, in a farmyard off a lane. The building's quite old, part of what used to be a dairy. It's for two people.

It's a 4 Star for Wales, which is good. It means it's comfortable and everything works properly. For two people, it's spacious. It's one big room downstairs with the kitchen, a sitting area and a dining table. The bed is up a ladder-staircase in a mezzanine loft. You need to be okay with climbing a ladder. It's made up as a double.

You get the bathroom to yourself, and there's a little private patio area with a table and chairs out the front where you can sit. Parking is right outside the door.

It's on a farm with a few other cottages. There's a shared games barn with a pool table if you fancy it. The owners live on site if you need anything.

The location is the main thing. You're on the Gower Peninsula, but you're just off the main road so it's easy to get to. Gowerton village is about a ten-minute walk. There's a pub, a Co-op, a train station. The trains go into Swansea one way or out to Carmarthenshire the other.

You can drive to Llangennith or Rhossili beaches in about twenty minutes. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coast there. For something closer, Llanmadog beach is about fifteen minutes. The coastal path is all along there.

If you head the other way, Swansea city centre is a ten-minute drive. The Mumbles is a bit further, maybe twenty minutes. It’s got a good promenade and the lifeboat station.

Facilities here: there's a washing machine, a TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We don't take pets.
