Murton Farm Cottage

Murton Farm Cottage is in the village of Murton. It’s an end-terrace place. It’s old, 16th century, so the walls are thick and the ceilings are a bit low in places. The stairs are steep and narrow, the kind you get in old houses. You’ll need to mind your head upstairs as well.

It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It has a 3 Star rating. It’s clean and comfortable, but it's not a show home. The small lawn area opens onto the owner's property. They have a garden centre there.

You’ve got a post office, a pharmacy, a farm shop and a pub that does food all within about 100 yards. The pub is decent. For a proper beach, you’re about a mile and a half from the Gower coast.

The Gower is right there. It’s Britain’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Sandy beaches, coastal paths, all of that. Swansea is a short drive for shops and the marina. The Mumbles is along the coast for a wander and something to eat.

Facilities: There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings, a dishwasher, washing machine, Wi-Fi, and on-site parking. Bedding is included. There’s a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets.

It can be booked with Hazeldene next door if you’ve got a bigger group.
