Jones' Granary

Jones' Granary is in Lunnon, which is on the Gower Peninsula. It's a barn that used to store grain for the farm here. The farm is still working, so you'll see sheep and tractors around.

It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. Two are upstairs and one is on the ground floor. That ground floor bedroom has an ensuite wet room, which is handy if someone doesn't want to tackle the stairs. There's a second bathroom upstairs as well.

The stairs are the original ones from when it was a barn. They're open-tread and a bit steep. They lead up from the main living area. There's a stairgate at the bottom if you need it.

Downstairs is mostly open plan. Kitchen, dining, sitting area. The patio doors open onto a decent sized patio and then lawn. It's south facing, so you get the sun. There's a utility room with the washing machine, which is also a good spot for sandy boots or drying a wet dog.

We allow two well-behaved dogs. The rating is 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.

Location-wise, you're right in the middle of the Gower. The nearest beach is probably a ten minute drive. Three Cliffs Bay and Pennard are very close. For a classic Gower walk, the coastal path from Rhossili is about twenty minutes away by car. The National Trust looks after that bit. There's a local pub in the village, a few minutes' walk.

Swansea is about half an hour's drive if you need a big shop or want to go to the cinema. The Mumbles is a bit closer, maybe twenty minutes.

In terms of what's here, the facilities list is pretty complete. Dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair. Plenty of parking right outside.
