The Dairy is in Three Crosses, which is right in the middle of the Gower peninsula. So you're about a 15 minute drive from the north coast and the same to the south coast. It's a converted 18th century farm building, so the walls are thick and the ceilings can be a bit low in places. It's got a 4 Star rating.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and two shower rooms. One twin room is on the ground floor, which is handy. The double room is upstairs. The stairs are old cottage stairs. They're fine, but they turn and they're a bit steep.
There's a small, enclosed patio out the back with a table and chairs. It gets the sun in the evening. Inside, there's a wood burner effect electric fire for cosy nights. The kitchen has everything you'd need. It's clean and modern, which I think works well against the old beams.
We take one well-behaved dog. There's a pub in the village, about a five minute walk. They do food. The nearest shop for basics is a little over half a mile away in the village.
You're in the Gower Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. For beaches, Rhossili Bay is about 20 minutes by car. It's spectacular. Three Cliffs Bay is a similar drive, but involves a bit of a walk down to the sand. For a simpler day with a cafe and toilets, Port Eynon is good.
Swansea is a 20 minute drive if you need a city day. The Maritime Museum and the market are worth a look. For walking, the Gower Coast Path is the obvious choice. The section from Rhossili to Worms Head is famous for a reason.
Facilities: parking for one car right outside, wi-fi, a washing machine, a cot and a highchair if you need them. All bedding and towels are included.
