Ty Gwyn is one of a pair of cottages here, about half a mile outside Gowerton. It's in a quiet spot with fields and trees around. The garden is yours to use. We're on about thirty acres, but you don't get the run of the whole farm, just the cottage garden.
It sleeps five across three bedrooms, and there's one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The stairs are regular, not too steep.
You're sharing a games room with the other cottage. It's got a pool table and table tennis. It's nothing fancy, but it's useful if it rains.
Gowerton has a couple of shops and a pub, about a ten-minute walk. The pub serves food. The train station is there too, if you want to go into Swansea or out towards Llanelli without driving.
You're right on the edge of the Gower. Rhossili Bay is about twenty minutes' drive, maybe half an hour if the roads are busy. It's a spectacular beach, good for surfing. Three Cliffs Bay is about the same. For something closer, Llanmadoc is about fifteen minutes. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coast here, their site is good for planning walks.
Swansea is a fifteen-minute drive. It's got the usual city things, shops, restaurants, a marina. The Mumbles is closer, about ten minutes. It's a nice promenade for a walk, with cafes and the lifeboat station.
In the cottage, you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Parking is right outside. No pets, I'm afraid.
If you're looking for other days out, the Visit Wales page for the Gower has ideas, and the National Botanic Garden is about thirty minutes away towards Carmarthen.
