Lily Vale Cottage
Lily Vale Cottage is in Pontarddulais. It's a detached cottage in our garden. You get the patio area to yourselves out the front. It's on a main road into the village, so you'll see us and our dog coming and going sometimes.
The cottage sleeps three. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 3 Star rating, so it's clean and has what you need. The stairs inside are quite steep and a bit narrow. Just something to be aware of.
The village shop is a two minute walk. There's a couple of pubs and a chippy about the same distance. They're all fine for the basics.
For beaches, you want the Gower. Rhossili is about half an hour's drive and that's the big one with the long beach. Three Cliffs Bay is good too.
The Brecon Beacons are straight north from here, maybe 40 minutes to an hour to get up into the hills. The National Trust looks after a few places up there. The waterfalls around Neath are closer, about 20 minutes away.
Swansea is 15 minutes down the road for bigger shops or the cinema. Cardiff is about an hour if you fancied a day out in the city.
Facilities wise: there's WiFi, a TV, parking right outside the cottage, and a travel cot if you need it. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
