Sgubor Llwyndu is a converted barn on our farm, just outside Ammanford. It's semi-detached, attached to our house, but you've got your own space. The building was the old cow shed and milking parlour. We did it up properly, so it's comfortable and has everything you need.
It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms, one double and one twin. Each has its own bathroom, which is handy. Everything is on one level, so no stairs.
You look out over fields from the patio doors. It's a working beef and sheep farm, so you'll see the animals about. The garden is enclosed, which is good for dogs. There's a hot tub on the patio. It's private, you just look out at the hills.
The living area is open plan with a wood burner. We leave you wood for it. The kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine, that sort of thing. There's a breakfast bar.
You're down a farm track, so it's quiet. The nearest shop and pub are about a mile and a half away in Pantyffynnon. Ammanford has bigger supermarkets and a few places to eat. Pantyffynnon station is walkable if you fancy the train. It's on the Heart of Wales line.
Llandeilo is about ten minutes by car. It's a nice town on the river with independent shops. The Gower beaches, like Rhossili, are roughly forty minutes' drive. For walking, you can start right from the door or drive into the Brecon Beacons. The National Botanic Garden of Wales is about twenty minutes away.
Things to know: it's a farm, so there will be normal farm noises and smells sometimes. The WiFi works, but it's a rural connection. We provide bedding and towels. You can bring up to two dogs.
