White Springs-Pine Lodge

This is Pine Lodge. It's one of three new log cabins built by the lake here at White Springs, near Pentrebach. The other two are Oak Lodge and Lake View. They all look the same, have the same layout, and have the same view.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, which means it's comfortable and clean. The main thing is the view. The front of the cabin is pretty much all windows looking out over the water. There's a veranda you can sit on.

Inside, it's straightforward. Leather sofas, a big TV, a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.

You can bring one dog. Parking is right there.

The site is known for fishing. White Springs is a proper fishery. But you don't have to fish. It's just quiet, looking at the lake.

There's a local pub a short drive away. For getting out, you're well placed. The coast around Port Talbot and Swansea Bay is about 20 minutes by car. The Afan Forest Park is close if you want mountain biking or walking. Further west, the Gower Peninsula is within 30 minutes for beaches. You can be in the western part of the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park in about half an hour.
