Spyte Cottage
Spyte Cottage is over in Rhyd y gwin, near Swansea. It's a barn we converted a couple of years back, on a smallholding. You get the place to yourselves.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and new, but it's not a show home. The upstairs bedroom is a mezzanine, open to the living room below. You can see the fields from the bed. The other bedroom is on the ground floor.
The main living space is all open plan. There's a stable door out to the courtyard. The kitchen has what you'd need: electric cooker, fridge, microwave. We have WiFi and a Smart TV.
You can walk straight out onto the hills from the door. The Lliw reservoirs and Cwm Clydach are close by for a walk. There's a village about a ten minute walk away with a couple of pubs.
Swansea city centre is about a twenty minute drive. Mumbles and the Gower beaches, like Three Cliffs or Rhossili, are maybe half an hour by car depending on traffic. The sea views from the ground floor bedroom are distant, but you can see it on a clear day.
Facilities: All the bedding and towels are here. Parking is right outside. We can take one well-behaved dog. The entrance is level and the ground floor bedroom and shower room are wheelchair accessible. There's space for bikes if you bring them.
