Spyte Cottage is on our smallholding in Rhyd y gwin, just outside Pontardawe. It's a converted farm building, basically a single-storey barn with a mezzanine floor up in the roof. You get the place to yourselves, with your own patio out the back.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms. One is the mezzanine upstairs with a double bed and a view over the fields. The other is on the ground floor, also a double. There's one shower room, also on the ground floor.
It's a open plan space. Living area with a Smart TV, kitchen with an electric cooker, fridge, microwave, and a dining table. There's stable doors that open out to the courtyard. The WiFi works. We provide all the bedding and towels.
The location is rural and quiet. You can walk straight out onto the mountain paths. The Lliw reservoirs and Cwm Clydach nature reserve are a good walk away. There's a village about a mile and a half down the lane with a couple of pubs that do food.
For the coast, you'll want the car. The beaches of the Gower are about a 25 minute drive. Same for Swansea city centre or the Mumbles. You're well placed for exploring.
We allow one well-behaved dog. There's parking right outside the cottage. The entrance and the ground floor bedroom and shower room are wheelchair accessible, though it's worth noting the shower cubicle has a small step.
