Wernddu Fechan Bungalow is about four miles outside Neath. It’s a proper bungalow, so everything is on one level, which is really handy. It's in its own bit of land so it's quite private.
It sleeps six people. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One of the bathrooms is a walk-in shower wet room on the ground floor. There's a wood burner in the living room. The kitchen is quite big and opens out through French doors to the garden.
It’s all set up for wheelchairs if you need that. Ramps to get in, wide doors, and that ground-floor wet room. The garden is fenced in at the back, so it’s secure for dogs. There’s a bit of a paddock next to the property too.
Neath town centre is about five minutes in the car. Swansea is about fifteen minutes drive the other way. For beaches, Aberavon is the closest, or you can get over to the Gower Peninsula in under forty minutes.
You're right on the edge of the Neath Valley here. The walking is good straight from the door. There are some great waterfalls nearby, like at Aberdulais Falls and Sgwd yr Eira. If you want a big day out, the Brecon Beacons are about half an hour north.
There's a local pub. For organised days out, the National Trust has a few places nearby, and the Brecon Beacons National Park website is good for walks.
Facilities wise: it’s got everything. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, parking right there. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
