The Cottage
The Cottage is a place we’ve done up. It’s on our land, about 16 acres. There’s a big wildlife pond out front. The woods start just past the gate. If you walk up through Dyffryn woods, which is steep, you get a good view over Neath and the Bristol Channel on a clear day. You can see the Gower from there too.
It sleeps two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating. We finished the renovation in 2021 so everything is clean and works. It’s open plan inside.
You’re welcome to bring up to two dogs. The garden is enclosed, so that’s handy. There’s parking right outside.
For the facilities, it’s got a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a patio with a BBQ.
The place is rural, but you’re not far from things. Neath town is about three miles away for shops. Swansea is about nine miles. Aberavon Beach is roughly nine miles if you want a quick trip to the sea. The Gower Peninsula is about 20 miles drive for a proper beach day.
If you like mountain biking, Afan Forest trails are 25 minutes away. Bike Park Wales is about 40 minutes. For a different day out, the National Show Caves for Wales are a short drive. Craig Y Nos Castle and its country park are almost directly opposite the property.
