This is Bwthyn Y Bugail. It's a 19th century shepherd's cottage on our farm in Felindre. The farm is 310 acres. It's very quiet here.
The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom downstairs which is a wet room. It's got full wheelchair access, right from the parking spot through to the bathroom.
The place is 5 Star graded. That means it's been done to a high spec. There's underfloor heating throughout and a wood burner in the living room. You've got the basics: dishwasher, washing machine, wifi. Bedding and towels are included.
Outside, there's a garden area with a barbecue. You can look out over the fields. You'll see sheep and cattle. The birdlife is good. Red kites are common. You can walk up onto Mynydd y Gwair from the door.
There's a pub serving food about a mile and a half down the lane. The Lliw Reservoir is a short walk for a stroll. For a proper beach day, the Gower coast is about 15 miles south. The National Trust Gower pages are useful for that. To the north, the Brecon Beacons National Park is about a 30 minute drive. Their official site has walking routes.
No pets allowed, sorry. The farm animals make it complicated.
