Bwthyn Y Bugail is a shepherds cottage on our farm in Felindre. It's a quiet spot, just the sheep and cows for company most of the time. The cottage dates from around 1800. It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom.
It's a 5 Star place, so it's been done up well inside. The underfloor heating works a treat, and there's a multi-fuel burner in the living room. The bathroom is a wet room on the ground floor. It's accessible for a wheelchair inside, but getting to the front door involves a gravel yard.
You're on a working farm here, so it's very rural. You'll see a lot of birds, red kites especially. The Lliw Reservoir is a short walk away for a stroll.
There's a pub serving food about a mile and a half down the lane. The nearest shop is seven miles away in Pontarddulais, so you'll want to come with supplies.
For a day out, the Gower beaches are about half an hour's drive south. The Brecon Beacons National Park is to the north, about 25 minutes by car. Swansea is roughly a 20 minute drive for a bigger town.
On the facilities: there's a dishwasher and washing machine, parking right outside, and a BBQ. All bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
