Hoglet Cottage
Hoglet Cottage is in Garnant, up in the hills. It's a converted old stable block attached to our house, but it’s completely separate. You get your own parking and entrance. The main thing is the view. It looks straight out over the valley.
It’s for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It’s just been done up so everything is new. It has a 4 Star rating. The kitchen and living area are all one room.
The bedroom has patio doors that open onto a covered veranda. That’s where the hot tub is. It’s private and enclosed. You can sit out there in the evening and it’s very quiet. You’ll see a lot of stars if the sky is clear.
You can walk or cycle straight from the door onto the old railway path. It goes for miles. For bigger walks, the Brecon Beacons National Park is about a 25-minute drive. The Black Mountain area is closer.
If you want to go to the coast, the Gower Peninsula is about 45 minutes away. They have good beaches like Rhossili. For a city day, Cardiff is just over an hour’s drive. Swansea is nearer, maybe 35 minutes. They have the Maritime Quarter and the leisure centre with the waterpark.
You can bring one dog. There’s an enclosed area outside the veranda for them. All the bedding and towels are included. There’s a washing machine, dishwasher, and WiFi.
