The Tractor Barn
The Tractor Barn is in Blackmoor Gate. It's a converted barn on a small site with a few other cottages. It's about a mile from the edge of Exmoor.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The conversion kept the original beams and stone walls, so the ceilings are a bit low in places.
You've got your own patio with a BBQ. There's a shared pond on the site, which is nice to sit by. In the summer there's a communal games room open.
Wistlandpound Reservoir is right next door. It's a quiet spot for a walk. It's a Dark Sky area too, so if it's a clear night the stars are very good.
You're about fifteen minutes from the coast at Combe Martin. The bigger beaches like Saunton Sands and Croyde are about half an hour away for surfing.
Exmoor is on the doorstep. You can drive onto the moor in a few minutes. Good for walking and seeing the ponies. The Exmoor National Park site has walking routes. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coastline nearby.
Facilities: WiFi, TV, parking. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
