The Haven
The Haven is in Powfoot, right on the Solway coast in Dumfriesshire. It's one of a row of houses, and yours has the garden at the back. It looks straight out over the water to the Cumbrian hills.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The stairs are fine, just normal.
You can walk out the door onto the coastal path. The beach is shingle and sand, and it's quiet. You'll often have it to yourself. There's a local pub a short walk away, and Powfoot Golf Club is just next to the village.
Annan is about three miles away for supermarkets and shops. Caerlaverock Castle is well worth a visit, it's a proper medieval fortress and only about a twenty minute drive. The WWT Caerlaverock Wetland Centre is right there too if you like birdwatching.
Further afield, within half an hour you can get to Dumfries or over the border into Cumbria. The Galloway Forest Park is about forty minutes away if you want proper forest walking or dark sky spotting.
For the cottage itself: there's parking, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and bedding and towels are included. The garden is enclosed. You can bring up to two dogs.
