Kestrel Cottage is on the edge of Tavistock. It's a little terraced stone cottage, end of the row. The back garden is yours. It's a good size and gets the sun.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's been done up properly. There's a step up into the main bedroom, which you notice the first time. The beam over the front door is low. You'll remember it after the first time you forget.
The living room has a woodburning stove. It works well and heats the place up quickly. The kitchen has what you need, and there's a separate utility room with the washing machine. You get Wi-Fi and a TV with Sky.
There's a pub about ten minutes' walk away. Tavistock town centre is about fifteen minutes on foot. The pannier market is good on market days. For a walk, the Meadows is right there. Tavistock Museum is small but interesting if the weather turns.
You're right next to Dartmoor. It's about a five minute drive to get onto the moor proper. Good walking from Longstone or around Burrator Reservoir. The Tamar Valley is the other way, also about ten minutes by car.
Plymouth is a twenty-five minute drive if you want a city day. The Barbican, the Hoe, the National Marine Aquarium. You can get a ferry from there to Mount Edgcumbe.
You can bring one dog. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car on the street outside.
