The Granary is in Merrivale, up on Dartmoor. It's a barn conversion, detached, so it's just you and the view. That view is all moorland. It's quiet up here.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. One's a double, the other has bunk beds. There's one bathroom, with a shower over the bath. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-finished and has things like a hot tub.
The main living space is open plan, with the kitchen, dining and sitting area all together. There's a skylight so it's bright. Patio doors lead out to your own garden. The hot tub is out there, looking over the moor.
The layout is mostly on one level, but there are a couple of short flights of stairs inside. They've kept some of the old barn character. Downstairs there's a room for bikes and wet dogs, which is handy.
You can walk straight out onto the moor from the door. For a pint or supplies, Tavistock is about ten minutes by car. It's a proper market town with a good Pannier Market.
If you want to go further, the coast at places like Wembury or Bantham is about forty minutes' drive. Plymouth is under an hour for a day out.
Facilities: it's got the hot tub, WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, parking. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
