Seagrass Cottage

Seagrass Cottage is on Church Street in Aberdovey. It's a two-up two-down terrace cottage that sleeps four. The main door opens straight onto the street. There are two bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom.

The rating is 4 Star. It means it's well-equipped and modern but it's not huge. The stairs are steep. The bed in the second bedroom is a bunk bed; it's a full single on top and bottom. Fine for kids or adults who don't mind a climb.

Outside, there's a small paved terrace at the back. It's private, gets the sun in the afternoon, and you can fit a table and chairs out there.

You're right in the village. The beach, shops, and places to eat are all a two-minute walk from the door. The beach is sandy and good for swimming. The jetty is popular for jumping off when the tide's in.

For a longer walk, you can follow the beach all the way to Tywyn. It's about six miles. The Talyllyn Railway is in Tywyn if you like steam trains. You can get the train from Aberdovey station to Machynlleth or Barmouth as well, which is a nice way to see the coast without driving.

If you drive, you can get to the Cadair Idris area in about half an hour for walks. Dolgellau is about 25 minutes away. For a rainy day, the Magic Lantern cinema in Tywyn is a ten-minute drive; it's an old-fashioned one-screen place.

In the cottage, there's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's WiFi and a TV. Parking is on the street; you can usually find a space close by.
