Rockcliffe

Rockcliffe is in Aberdovey, at the village end, about five minutes walk to the beach. It's a detached house. We renovated it a couple of years ago.

It sleeps ten. Five bedrooms, three bathrooms. One of the doubles has an ensuite. One of the bedrooms on the first floor has adult-sized bunk beds. The main living space is open plan with the kitchen and dining area, so everyone's together. There's underfloor heating and a log burner for cooler days. The big doors open onto the deck.

The deck is the main feature. It's built out from the rock, so it feels quite high up. The view is over the Dyfi Estuary. You can see the sea and the golf course opposite. There's a table, chairs, sunbeds, and a BBQ out there.

Downstairs there's also a games room with a pool table and a TV. Good for kids, or if someone wants a bit of space.

Aberdovey itself has what you need: shops, a few cafes, pubs that do food. The beach is good for swimming, and they do lessons for surfing or paddle boarding if you're into that. You can walk along the sand to Tywyn at low tide.

Within about half an hour's drive you've got a few things. The Talyllyn Railway in Tywyn. The walk up to Dolgoch Falls. Corris has the mine explorers thing if that's your sort of day out. And if you're feeling very energetic, you can drive to the start of the path up Cader Idris.

For the house facilities: bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, a cot and highchair if needed. WiFi is there. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking for three cars on the driveway.
