Rubylea
Rubylea is in Glencaple, right on the edge of the Nith estuary. It's a terraced cottage, so one of a row.
It's for two people. One bedroom upstairs, one bathroom downstairs. The bed's a king size. You get a good view of the water and Criffel from the window. The stairs are narrow, that's just how they built them.
Inside it's open plan downstairs. Living room and kitchen area. There's a small garden out the back and a little spot to sit at the front.
Glencaple itself is quiet. There's a pub about five minutes walk away. The estuary path is right there if you want a walk.
You're well placed for getting out. Caerlaverock Castle is ten minutes by car. The Wetland Centre is next to it, good if you like birdwatching. Dumfries is about fifteen minutes drive, for shops or if you want to see the Robert Burns sights.
The Solway coast is close. Sandyhills beach is a twenty minute drive. For walking or mountain biking, Mabie Forest is maybe twenty five minutes. The Galloway Forest Park is about forty minutes if you're going right into the dark sky area.
For facilities, you've got the washing machine, WiFi, TV. Parking is on the street right outside. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
