The Old Chandlery is here in Avoch, right opposite the harbour. It used to be a fisherman's store. It sleeps four, but that's in three bedrooms, so it's a single bed in the third room. There's one bathroom, with a shower over the bath.
The front door is up an external staircase, because the house is built into the hill. The back door is at garden level, but you get to that from the side. It's fine once you know.
You can bring two dogs. We have a stairgate and a highchair if you need them. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. The WiFi works.
The view from the front is straight over the harbour and the Moray Firth. You get some good sunsets. The garden is at the back, it's a bit of a suntrap.
Avoch itself is quiet. There's a beach a few minutes' walk away. The pub is up the hill in the village, about a mile and three quarters. For a shop, you'd drive to Fortrose.
You're on the Black Isle here. Fortrose and Cromarty are a short drive away. Inverness is about twenty minutes by car. From there you can get to Loch Ness or into the Cairngorms pretty easily. The bus from Avoch to Inverness is fairly regular if you don't have a car.
