Shelduck Cottage
Shelduck Cottage is in Holmbridge, up in the Holme Valley. It's a detached stone cottage with views across the fields from most windows. The garden is yours, and there's parking on the drive.
It sleeps seven people in four bedrooms. There are four bathrooms, which is unusual and handy. One bedroom has a four-poster bed, and another has a freestanding bath in the room. The main living room is upstairs, with big sliding doors that open onto the garden. It's got underfloor heating and a multi-fuel stove. There's also a hot tub outside.
A thing to note: there are fourteen steps down from the ground floor to the lower part of the garden. You can avoid them by going out from the upstairs living room instead.
You can walk to a local shop and a few pubs, though the walk back is uphill. Holmfirth is about three minutes away by car. It's got plenty of cafes, shops, and restaurants. The area is known for being where they filmed *Last of the Summer Wine*. The National Trust in Yorkshire has places like Marsden Moor nearby for walks.
For facilities, it's got the things you'd need: WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, and an electric vehicle charger. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to three dogs. It has a 5 Star rating.
If you're planning trips, the Yorkshire Dales National Park is about a 30-minute drive north. The Peak District is a similar distance south.
