The Cottage
The Cottage is in Swimbridge. It's the village where the Jack Russell terrier was first bred, which is a fact. The pub is called The Jack Russell and it's about a minute's walk away. They do food.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms upstairs: a double, a twin, and a single. There's one bathroom with a bath and a separate shower. Downstairs, you've got a separate living room and dining room, which is nice if people want to do different things. The kitchen is fine, there's a coffee machine. The utility room has the washing machine and a toilet.
Outside there's a walled courtyard at the back. It's enclosed, so it's safe for dogs. Speaking of which, you can bring two.
It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything works and it's clean.
For places to go: Barnstaple is about ten minutes by car. That's where the bigger shops are. The coast is fifteen to twenty minutes. Instow is good for a gentle beach, Woolacombe and Croyde for bigger surf. Exmoor is about half an hour's drive. Read up on it here: Exmoor National Park.
Included in the price: all the electricity, the wifi, bedding and towels. There's a TV. The garden furniture is out there from April to October.
