Weavers Cottage is on Wheatley Lane, just outside the village of Fence. It's a two-up two-down, the sort of terrace they built for weavers a couple of hundred years ago. It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom upstairs.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up nicely inside. There's a wood burner in the living room, which is good for cool evenings. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Outside, there's a patio garden with a barbecue, and you can park on site.
You can bring two dogs. All the bedding and towels are included, and there's WiFi.
The stairs are fairly steep. It's an old cottage, so that's just how it is.
Fence village is a short walk away. There's a village shop and two restaurants there. For a pub, you'd want to drive to nearby Barrowford or Nelson.
It's a good spot for getting out. You can walk up Pendle Hill from Barley, which is about a ten minute drive. The views are great, and there's all the history with the Pendle Witches. Gawthorpe Hall is a National Trust property nearby, about fifteen minutes by car. It's an Elizabethan house with textile collections.
If you're into cycling, you're close to some of the Pennine routes. For a day out, Burnley's about a twenty minute drive, and you can get to the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in maybe half an hour.
